These faculty were funded through GEMMA Master’s program. The Women’s Studies Center
provided them with use of our office space and lounge, access to a computer as well as library
privileges.
The same opportunity is open to Women’s Studies faculty. One may establish a working
relationship with these scholars and apply for funding within GEMMA to spend research time in
the eight universities part of this consortium. They are considered faculty members in our
program during their time at FIU and can be guest speakers in our classes.
