PROJECT PROPOSAL
COMENIUS MULTILATERAL PROJECT 2012
PROMOTING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP FROM A GENDER-BASED APPROACH
Programme Lifelong Learning Programme
Action Comenius Multilateral Projects
Duration 24 months
Potential partners - Public authorities with competences in educational issues
- NGOs with previous experience in preventing/dealing with violence against
women and/or developing educational programmes
- Primary Education Schools
Brief definition The Regional Government of Murcia is developing different action for preventing
gender-based violence in Secondary Education Schools, thanks to different regional
and EU funded projects. Nevertheless, promoting prevention issues in early
educational stages (i.e, Primary Schools) is required, although we can not deal with
those topics so directly. In these learning and pedagogical context, in which the
socialization process begins, fostering peer relationships based on respect, genderequality
and non-stereotyped self-development is the best way to prevent
unhealthy future behaviours.
Considering those ideas, learning materials will be developed within the framework
of this CMP. Since having good command of other European languages and ICT
immersion are mainstreaming competences in the LLP, those materials where
highly based on ICT. Implementing the project in bilingual primary schools will also
add value to the project.
Aims The aims of the project are:
• To develop ICTs-based learning materials to foster a self-concept
incompatible with any kind of violence.
• To improve, both in students and teachers, skills that allow them to solve
conflicts from a gender-equality approach
• To foster a free self-development, reducing the impact of gender roles and
stereotypes on how children interact with people around them.
• To promote digital competences in children, using ICTs-based pedagogical
materials in the classroom.
• To improve European languages skills, implementing the learning
materials in bilingual school, as a pilot experience.
