edvard grieg’s writing room, where the composer wrote<br />
some his best known works, can be seen in the garden of<br />
the hotel ullenvang at Lofthus. it is also possible on this, day<br />
3, to visit Folgefonna national Park, which can be reached<br />
by car from Jondal during the summer. Folgefonna national<br />
Park is home to norway’s third largest glacier, a tour of<br />
which can be undertaken with a guide.<br />
Directions: take highway Rv13 from Lofthus to Kinsarvik.<br />
take the ferry from Kinsarvik to utne (30 min.). Follow the<br />
national tourist road from utne til Jondal. Continue to Folgefonna<br />
summer ski Centre. From Jondal to tørvikbygd by<br />
ferry over hardangerfjorden Fjord (25 mins.). Continue on to<br />
gjermundshavn and cross the fjord again by ferry to Årsnes<br />
(20 mins.). Continue on to Rosendal.
