Adventure Hunt in Skudesneshavn (Karmøy)
the adventure hunt is an activity rebus for those with an
adventurous spirit who visit skudeneshavn. an expedition
of discovery through the streets of old skudeneshavn takes
about 1.5 hours and can be combined with a stop in the
park, games, or a café visit. on the adventure hunt one
can become better acquainted with the history of skudeneshavn,
where there are traces of the fisheries era, coastal
culture and town life. the aim of the adventure hunt is to
discover a real masthead known as “the Lady in the Park”. a
map and diploma can be obtained at the tourist information
office in skudeneshavn, the Worlds smallest Café, Majorstua

Grindafjord Holiday Centre (Tysvær)
grindafjord holiday Centre has activities that can fill an
entire day. these include a 2000m² saltwater swimming
pool with slides, a playground, a trampoline park, and
basketball, football, and sand volleyball courts. the holiday
centre has a long shoreline with its own beach and rents out
boats and canoes. in addition, you can play mini-golf or visit

Tysværtunet Cultural Centre (Tysvær)
amenities at tyværtunet Cultural Centre include cinema,
climbing wall, sports centre, café, and not least, a fantastic
swimming pool. Children can tumble about in the two pools
that are equipped with slides, diving tower, and grotto. the
temperature is maintained at a very comfortable 30 degrees
in the large pool, and at 34 degrees in the children’s pool.

at dokken you can see and experience seahouses with living
quarters, a herring salting works, a cooper’s workshop,
and houses and apartments from various periods in time.
the boathouse has a cooper’s fireplace and baking oven that
is used on activity days. Children are welcome to make small
boats in the “harbour Basin”, or borrow a life jacket and crab
line. open: mid-June to mid-august. sunday – Friday 11.00-

Dokken Open-air Museum (Haugesund)
Borrow the row boat and life jackets provided by the outdoor
amenity service. take a rowing trip over the sound
or to vibrandsøy. Opening times: sun-Fri: 11:00-16:00 (mid
June to mid august). summer season, otherwise by arrangement.

exciting outdoor museum
Ørpetveit Farm Museum (Haugesund)
the museum provides children with a chance to see the
hens in the henhouse, and the sheep in the fields as they
graze in the cultural landscape. the farm is open to everyone
and snack food or sandwiches can be enjoyed. the farm
museum consists of living quarters and barns dating from
the 1800s. an information board and map is available. the
farm is located just east of the Biltema store at Raglamyr.
