CONDITIONS OF ENTRY<br />

1 <strong>The</strong> organisers reserve the right to refuse any entries.<br />

2 Competitors may be disqualified from any class for causing any unnecessary delay to the<br />

continuity of the event.<br />

3 Entry fees are NOT refundable under any circumstances after the close of entry unless<br />

cancelled by the organisers or on presentation of a current Vet’s certificate or Doctor’s note.<br />

4 <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong> Show Jumping Guidelines supported by <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong> Show Jumping Rules <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

5 Objections must be made in writing to the Secretary within 30 minutes of the occurrence or<br />

the publishing of results accompanied by a £20 deposit. No video evidence will be<br />

considered under any circumstances<br />

6 Legal Liability. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers,<br />

or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which<br />

these rules apply, nor the <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong>, Topthorn Equestrian Centre nor any agent, employee or<br />

representative of these bodies, accept any liability for any accident, loss damage, injury or<br />

illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any<br />

other persons or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract<br />

or in any other way whatsoever.<br />

7 No horses/ponies under 4 years of age allowed to compete.<br />

8 Health and Safety. <strong>The</strong> Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure<br />

the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must<br />

take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the<br />

instructions of the organisers and all Officials and Stewards.<br />

9 HAT REGULATIONS – It is mandatory to wear a protective helmet manufactured to one of<br />

the minimum standards listed. It must bear the CE mark and a quality symbol. PAS<br />

015:1998, EN 1384:1996, BS EN 1384:1997 together with the BSI Kitemark. Snell E2001,<br />

with the official Snell label and number, AS/NZS 3838 1998, AS/NZS 3838 2003 with the<br />

SAI Global symbol. <strong>The</strong> CE symbol on its own is not sufficient. Hats must be worn when<br />

mounted, with chin strap fastened at all times. Hats with long ventilation slits are not<br />

allowed for anyone over the age of 9 yrs old. Hats with vertical plastic/metallic strips are<br />

permitted. (see PC Rules <strong>2012</strong>) Hats will be checked and tagged when collecting numbers.<br />

10 Riding jackets are COMPULSORY in show jumping classes.<br />

11 Hair must be restrained and in a hair net if long. NO HAIR below the collar. No watches,<br />

electronic devices or jewellery allowed.<br />

12 Cream/beige jodhpurs must be worn. Numnahs must be plain navy, brown, black, cream or<br />

white with the same colour binding.<br />

13 No trotting or cantering in public areas - only in warm up arena.<br />

14 No dogs, bikes, scooters or ball games.<br />

15 No access to private areas including barns and stables.
