Description: This 18-pound, 20- by 36-inch shield is manufactured from Spectra Shield bulletresistant<br />

material to provide level-IIIA protection (9 mm <strong>and</strong> .44 Magnum pistol rounds). The<br />

ballistic viewport is 4 by 16 inches. The light kit requires two 3-volt lithium batteries.<br />

Operational Capability/Use: The Protech armored shield has a ballistic Spectra composite<br />

blanket covered by a projectile-absorbing lightweight metal alloy skin, an ambidextrous h<strong>and</strong>le<br />

<strong>and</strong> harness assembly with a quick-release feature, <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong><strong>of</strong>f straps to prevent body contact<br />

with the backface <strong>of</strong> the shield.<br />
