Key Notes
Rotary Club of Sarasota Keys
District 6960 Club 4342
District Governor: Stephen Schlueter
It isn't often that the day
we set aside to celebrate love
coincides with our regular
meeting day. But when it does it
gives us an extra special reason to
celebrate. On last week we did
Assistant District Governor: Susan Atherton
just that. Joining in a crowd of
Members Corner
WINDING DOWN I
will be taking a few months
off from Rotary to take care
of some medical problems
at home, but I will make a
few meetings when time
permits. Please submit any
news about yourselves and
Rotary to Marvin Hendon
so the Members column can
continue
Dave Pilston a
former member and
president is now CEO of
"Save our Seabirds."He
contacted me about an open
house they are having on
March 2nd and 3rd. He
wanted to know if he could
get some help from our
Interact club at Sarasota
Military Academy for
parking. I invited him to the
interact meeting and he was
successful in getting 8
members to help. This
allows the students to get
credit for community
service.
Now, even though I
will be away I plan to keep
tabs on whose winning the
50/50. So this is fare
warning to both Marie and
Ed I’ve got my eyes on you!
I understand that
George from the Flemington
New Jersey club has been
down to check on Ed. Keys
Club members, rest assured
that we are not going to let
them take Ed back to new
Jersey. I am certain that
while I am away we can
have Lee to put some
pressure on both Ed and
George to become
members of our club.
I heard that the
valentines luncheon was a
huge success with an
overflow crowd. Sorry I
could not make it but I was
there in spirit. Do you think
maybe next year we could
persuade them to serve
In
Honor
Of Love
