Monitor Lamp indicators<br />

Managing the indicated problems<br />

If a problem should occur with the projector, the indicators will inform you. Manage the indicated problems as follow.<br />

1. Confirm the status of all indicators and projector, and switch off the projector in proper way.<br />

2. Find out the cause of the problem by status of each indicator.<br />

3. Follow the instruction for each indication below and solve the problem.<br />

4. Turn on the projector in the correct way and confirm the indicator is not indicating a problem any longer.<br />

NOTE:<br />

• If no problem is found or the problem remains, do not turn on the projector. Instead contact your nearest dealer.<br />

• Did you notice a “REPLACE<br />

LAMP” message on the screen<br />

when turning on the projector<br />

compartment.<br />

• Did you turn the power back on<br />

immediately after turning it off?<br />

• Some error has arisen in the<br />

lamp circuit.<br />

• Check for fluctuation (or drop) in<br />

the source voltage.<br />

• This lamp monitor lights up when the lamp<br />

unit used hours have reached 1 800* hours.<br />

Request the dealer to replace the lamp unit.<br />

* 2 800 hours for <strong>PT</strong>-D5000E only.<br />

• Install the lamp unit.<br />

• When lamp unit is installed and still having<br />

the indicator lights, contact to the dealer.<br />

• Wait until the lamp has cooled off, and then<br />

turn on the power.<br />

• Turn off the POWER switch of the projector<br />

properly and contact your nearest dealer.<br />

• Did you turn on the power when<br />

the ambient temperature was<br />

lower than approx. 0 °C (32 °F)?<br />

• Check the ventilation port is<br />

blocked.<br />

• Is the room air temperature too<br />

high?<br />

• Was the temperature warning<br />

indication displayed?<br />

• Wait about 5 minutes in the current status.<br />

• Install the unit in a location having an<br />

ambient temperature from 0 °C (32 °F) -<br />

45 °C (113 °F).<br />

• Remove the object that is blocking the<br />

ventilation port.<br />

• Move the projector to a temperature of 0 °C<br />

(32 °F) - 45 °C (113 °F) and the humidity of<br />

20 % to 80 % (no condensation).<br />

• Turn off the POWER switch of the projector<br />

in proper way and contact the dealer.<br />

• Turn off the POWER switch of the projector<br />

in proper way and contact the dealer.
