(LyondellBasell Nueces County Sports Complex)

WHEREAS, LyondellBasell has donated 48 acres to Nueces County to create the future home of the
“LyondellBasell Nueces County Sports Complex” in the Northwestern area of Nueces County; and,
WHEREAS, the park will be the largest sports complex in Nueces County featuring areas for soccer, softball,
volleyball, football and basketball, including areas for a playground and running track; and,
WHEREAS, this donation of land is the second of such by LyondellBasell at this location making the complex a
total of 76.6 acres; and,
WHEREAS, Nueces County has sought and will continue to seek grants from Texas Parks and Wildlife, the
Texas General Land Office, and other State agencies to maximize the available amenities at LyondellBasell
Nueces County Sports Complex over the coming years for the benefit of the citizens and youth of Nueces County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE NUECES COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT,
that the Court hereby recognizes LyondellBasell for its generous contribution of land to Nueces County for
creation of the Lyondell Basell Nueces County Sports Complex.
DULY ADOPTED BY VOTE OF THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS,
ON THIS THE 9 th DAY OF MAY, 2012.
