AMIDAH Shemoneh Esrei:<br />

1. Blessed are You הוהי our G-d and G-d <strong>of</strong> our Fathers,<br />

G-d, Father <strong>of</strong> Nations (םהרבא) 1 , G-d <strong>of</strong> Brightness<br />

(קחצי) 2 , and G-d <strong>of</strong> the Remnant (בקעי) 3 , great and mighty<br />

and awesome G-d who bestows abundant grace and creates<br />

all things and remembers the promises <strong>of</strong> grace to<br />

the fathers and brings a redeemer to their children’s children<br />

for the sake <strong>of</strong> His Name out <strong>of</strong> love. O King, who<br />

brings help and salvation and who is our shield. Blessed<br />

are You, הוהי, shield <strong>of</strong> Abraham.<br />

2. You are Almighty for ever, who makes the<br />

dead alive in the promised resurrection. You are mighty<br />

to help, You who sustains the living out <strong>of</strong> grace, makes<br />

the dead alive out <strong>of</strong> great mercy, supports those who<br />

fall, heals the sick, frees the captive, and keeps Your word<br />

faithfully to them who sleep in the dust. And who is like<br />

You, L-rd <strong>of</strong> mighty deeds and who is comparable to You,<br />

King, who makes dead and alive and causes help to spring<br />

forth. And You are faithful to make the dead alive in the<br />

promised resurrection. Blessed are You, הוהי who makes<br />

the dead alive in the promised resurrection.<br />

3. You are Holy and Your name הוהי is Holy and<br />

the holy praise You every day. Blessed are You הוהי, Holy<br />

G-d.<br />

4. You grant knowledge to mankind and teach<br />

men understanding. Grant us the knowledge, understanding<br />

and discernment (which come) from You.<br />

Blessed are You, הוהי, who grants knowledge.<br />

5. Lead us back, our Father, to Your Torah; and<br />

bring us, our King, to Your service, and cause us to return<br />

in perfect repentance to Your presence. Blessed are You,<br />

הוהי, who delights in repentance.<br />

6. Forgive us, our Father, for we have sinned; par-<br />

don us, our King, for we have transgressed. For You forgive<br />

and pardon. Blessed are You, הוהי, gracious, rich in<br />

forgiveness.<br />

7. Look on our affliction and plead our cause,<br />

and redeem us speedily for His Name’s sake; for You are a<br />

mighty Redeemer. Blessed are You, הוהי Redeemer, [and]<br />

G-d <strong>of</strong> Healing (לארשי).<br />

8. Heal us, O הוהי and we shall be healed, save us<br />

and we shall be saved; for You are our praise. And bring<br />

perfect healing to all our wounds. For You are a G-d and<br />

King who heals, faithful and merciful. Blessed are You<br />

הוהי, who heals the sick <strong>of</strong> Your people, [who are fim believers<br />

in the] G-d <strong>of</strong> Healing (לארשי) 4 .<br />

9. Bless this year for us, הוהי our G-d, and cause<br />

all its produce to prosper; and bless the land; and satisfy<br />

us with goodness; and bless our year as the good years.<br />

Blessed are You הוהי, who blesses the years.<br />

10. Proclaim our liberation with the great sh<strong>of</strong>ar<br />

(trumpet), and raise a banner to gather together our<br />

dispersed, and assemble us from the four corners <strong>of</strong> the<br />

earth. Blessed are You, הוהי, who gathers the banished <strong>of</strong><br />

[believers <strong>of</strong>] G-d <strong>of</strong> Healing (לארשי).<br />

11. Restore our judges as in former times and our<br />

counselors as in the beginning; and take from us sorrow<br />

and sighing; and reign over us, You L-rd alone, in grace<br />

and mercy; justify us in judgment. Blessed are You, הוהי,<br />

King who loves justice and judgment.<br />

12. Over the righteous and over the pious; and<br />

over the elders <strong>of</strong> thy people <strong>of</strong> the house <strong>of</strong> [believers<br />

<strong>of</strong>] G-d <strong>of</strong> Healing (לארשי); and over the remnant <strong>of</strong> their<br />

Torah scholars; and over the righteous proselytes; and<br />

over us, may Your mercy shower down, הוהי our G-d. And<br />

give a rich reward to all who faithfully trust in Name. And<br />

cause our portion to be with them forever, that we may<br />
