And then the weather got worse … sleet and ice
moved in. This icicled sign greeted arriving field
trialers on Friday morning.
Pam Reed had a very good day, though. She is shown
here accepting 3rd and 4th place ribbons from DCA Open
All Age Bitch stake Judges Larry Innis and Ashley Dumas.
Absolute Winner at the DFWDC (Host Club) Field Trial,
FC Ana Maria v Czar SW, with owner Judy Gallamore
and Judges Robert Schwalbe and Larry Innis.
Also shown are Ashley Dumas and DFWDC’s new
challenge trophy. “Dancing with Angels”, a Garry
Newton limited edition bronze, which is offered by the
Dallas-Fort Worth Dachshund Club and Ashley Dumas
in memory of Ryan aka DC Can CH Valona's Orion CD
CGC CG (6/6/1991 - 4/1/2004) for his contributions to the
roots of Dachshund field trials in the South. Judy and
Ms. Ana were the first to stake a claim on this lovely
piece!
appreciated the portable heaters. Conditions were too harsh for
outside group photos during the National Field Trial. Like the
folks pictured below, everyone was cold and … and by Friday’s
end … quite soggy!
A feat equaled by Pam Bethke in the DCA Open All Age
Dog stake.
