Please Note: It is a condition of entry that all competitors read and abide by the following rules:<br />

Rules and Conditions<br />

1. To be run in accordance with the <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong> <strong>Horse</strong> <strong>Trials</strong> Rules 2012.<br />

Entries close Wednesday 6 th June. Ages taken as from the day of the competition.<br />

2. No late or telephone entries.<br />

3. Legal Liability. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or<br />

anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules<br />

apply, nor the <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong>, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any<br />

liability for any accident, loss damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land,<br />

cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by<br />

their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.<br />

4. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times - extension leads can cause accidents.<br />

5. No horse or pony may compete more than once.<br />

6. Hats - PC Rules 2012 apply. Body Protectors and medical armbands must be worn for the cross<br />

country phase. Letters giving permission to wear spurs must be shown when you collect your tabard.<br />

No spurs may be worn in classes 1-4. No jewellery to be worn.<br />

NB: Any competitor using the Bodycage Exo-Skeleton body protector MUST notify the Secretary<br />

when collecting their tabard. A Body protector must be worn under an airjacket.<br />

7. Competitors may be assisted but not led in Classes 1 and 2. In Class 3 competitors will be penalised<br />

for any assistance. Competitors who have ANY outside assistance in Class 4 will be eliminated.<br />

8. Dressage test may be commanded in classes 1-4 only.<br />

9. No grass reins.<br />

10. No stop- watches allowed.<br />

11. In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control £5 per competitor will be<br />

withheld.<br />

13. <strong>The</strong> course may be walked on Saturday 16 th June 2-6pm. <strong>The</strong> Park gates will be locked at 7pm.<br />

14. Rosettes to 6th place individuals and teams.<br />

15. <strong>The</strong> Judge's decision is final. Objections to be lodged at the Secretary's tent in writing within 30<br />

minutes, together with a deposit of £10.00, only to be made by an Official Representative.<br />

16. Health and Safety - <strong>The</strong> organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the<br />

health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all<br />

reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the<br />

organiser, officials and stewards.<br />

17. A £5 deposit required for tabards when collected - no change given.<br />

18. All Competitors to be correctly dressed for prize giving.<br />

19. No bonfires/barbeques to be lit in the Park.<br />

20. No litter to be left and no mucking out of trailers or horseboxes in the Park.<br />

21. NO-ONE IS TO GO NEAR THE FRONT OF ERIDGE CASTLE FOR ANY REASON OUT OF<br />

BOUNDS AREA WILL BE ROPED OFF.<br />

<strong>The</strong> north drive will be marked with <strong>Pony</strong> <strong>Club</strong> signs and has been improved with passing places.<br />
