Please Note: It is a condition of entry that all competitors read and abide by the following rules:
Rules and Conditions
1. To be run in accordance with the Pony Club Horse Trials Rules 2012.
Entries close Wednesday 6 th June. Ages taken as from the day of the competition.
2. No late or telephone entries.
3. Legal Liability. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or
anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules
apply, nor the Pony Club, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, accepts any
liability for any accident, loss damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land,
cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by
their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
4. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times - extension leads can cause accidents.
5. No horse or pony may compete more than once.
6. Hats - PC Rules 2012 apply. Body Protectors and medical armbands must be worn for the cross
country phase. Letters giving permission to wear spurs must be shown when you collect your tabard.
No spurs may be worn in classes 1-4. No jewellery to be worn.
NB: Any competitor using the Bodycage Exo-Skeleton body protector MUST notify the Secretary
when collecting their tabard. A Body protector must be worn under an airjacket.
7. Competitors may be assisted but not led in Classes 1 and 2. In Class 3 competitors will be penalised
for any assistance. Competitors who have ANY outside assistance in Class 4 will be eliminated.
8. Dressage test may be commanded in classes 1-4 only.
9. No grass reins.
10. No stop- watches allowed.
11. In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control £5 per competitor will be
withheld.

13. The course may be walked on Saturday 16 th June 2-6pm. The Park gates will be locked at 7pm.
14. Rosettes to 6th place individuals and teams.
15. The Judge's decision is final. Objections to be lodged at the Secretary's tent in writing within 30
minutes, together with a deposit of £10.00, only to be made by an Official Representative.
16. Health and Safety - The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the
health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all
reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the
organiser, officials and stewards.
17. A £5 deposit required for tabards when collected - no change given.
18. All Competitors to be correctly dressed for prize giving.
19. No bonfires/barbeques to be lit in the Park.
20. No litter to be left and no mucking out of trailers or horseboxes in the Park.
21. NO-ONE IS TO GO NEAR THE FRONT OF ERIDGE CASTLE FOR ANY REASON OUT OF
BOUNDS AREA WILL BE ROPED OFF.
