Domestic Violence Unit
The Domestic Violence unit is supervised by Sergeant
Brian Geiman. He is assisted in his assignment by a
dedicated group of police and civilian personnel consisting of
Corporal Robert Isennock, Ms. Gwen Bell, and Ms. Betsy
Saylor. The Unit exists expressly to address the needs of
victims who frequently have nowhere else to turn when they
are brutalized. This team of specialists is responsible for
interviewing the victims, eliciting facts, providing guidance to
secure court orders or arrest warrants, and service of all
related judicial documents. With the assistance of a grant
from the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention,
the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office continues to enhance the
safety and security of all domestic violence victims. In the
upcoming year, grant monies will help to pay for additional
assistance on the understaffed weekend hours of operation.
