Polje within two weeks time, therefore all lifestock has to be
evacuated in time.
• The flood duration time of floods in Lonjsko Polje is not
determined by the amount of water that goes in, but by the
amount of water that can go out.
• The ecological effects of a flood event are large,
irrespective of the execution of the 1972 plan.
• It is recommended to consider an in- and outlet structure
that can take in water during dry summer periods and can
discharge water to drain the filled detention area faster.
