More detailed AP information is available at: www.apcentral.collegeboard.com On April 27, 2011 there will be a MANDATORY meeting for all students who register for the AP Test. This meeting will be held during EOP in the EAST Cafeteria. During this meeting students will pre-grid their answer sheets for the AP Exams. Seniors: SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION AND OPPORTUNITIES Please remember to access the Pennsbury High School online scholarship database on Naviance. The Scholarship List provides information for nominating yourself or applying for various scholarships, which come through the guidance office. This list is updated regularly as we post scholarships so check back frequently. SELECTIVE SERVICE INFORMATION Federal law requires all men living in the United States to register within a month of their 18th birthday with Selective Service. Registering keeps you eligible for college loans, job training, government jobs and driver’s license renewal in most states. You can get a selective service registration card at your local post office or register online at www.sss.go SAP (Student Assistance Program) Do you know someone in trouble or needing help? Perhaps you have a friend that’s being bullied. Maybe someone you know is involved with drugs and/or alcohol. Maybe you have a friend who’s in an abusive situation. The SAP team at PHS may be able to help. The PHS SAP team meets every two weeks during EOP. If you know (first hand - not just hearsay), of anyone needing assistance, please contact your school counselor. He or she may refer your concerns to the SAP team. Your concerns will be handled with confidentiality. PHS CITIZENSHIP AWARD We would like to recognize some of our students that are making positive contributions to PHS. Each month, we will focus on specific characteristics and qualities. We asked each of our teachers to nominate one student every month who demonstrates those characteristics and qualities. The citizenship award nomination for the month of February went to 12 TH grader Andrew Korbar who was our first grand prize winner and he was nominated by teacher Chris Rowlands in the math department. Andrew received a $25.00 gift card for his trustworthiness. For the month of March, the student nominations will focus on respect. Good luck to all of our students. 5
