• <strong>The</strong> system shall use the hardware available for the project, which <strong>in</strong>cludes a<br />

Polhemus ISOTRAK II with two receivers, two consumer-grade LCD video<br />

projectors with polarization filters, and a 3-year-old PC.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> system workbench shall be made of a wooden frame, a semitransparent<br />

mirror and a projection screen that will preserve the polarity of the light<br />

projected onto it.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> user shall wear polarized glasses.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> system shall be adaptable to different hardware.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> system software shall be modifiable by the MedICLab to use a different<br />

development environment than IPF.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> system shall be extendible so that the MedICLab will be able to add new<br />

features easily.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> system shall require dimmed lights but not complete darkness to function.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> system shall be small enough to fit <strong>in</strong>to an office environment.<br />

• All system software shall be implemented <strong>in</strong> Python.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> system shall be developed us<strong>in</strong>g IPF.<br />

• <strong>The</strong> system shall be developed for the Microsoft W<strong>in</strong>dows PC platform.
