Annual "My First Tri" Triathlon on<br />

June 20. Participants will tackle a 200<br />

meter swim off <strong>Eglin</strong>'s Postl Point,<br />

followed by an 8 mile bike ride and<br />

finishing with a 2.5 mile run. Compete<br />

as an individual or part of a team!<br />

as this is a popular event limited to<br />

the first 325 entries and is open to the<br />

Art Rocks! Camp for Kids<br />

The stage is set for rock artists<br />

everywhere! Art Rocks combines<br />

fun music and energetic art for a<br />

wildly creative adventure. Campers<br />

will make musical instruments,<br />

learn about rhythm and create some<br />

music of their own! They’ll design<br />

a poster promoting a concert, as<br />

well as a unique label for a new<br />

CD. These rock artists will create<br />

their own rock art, design mystifying<br />

paintings to music and try their hand<br />

at melodic action painting. So come<br />

into the spotlight for a rocking good<br />

time!! Preschool Camp for ages 3-5<br />

is July 6-10, 9-11 a.m., $150 per<br />

Air <strong>Force</strong> Introduces Island Lake<br />

Summer Camp Opportunity<br />

Looking for a summer camp opportunity for youth<br />

entering grades 3 through 8? Consider having your<br />

youth apply for one of five chances for Air <strong>Force</strong> youth<br />

to attend Island Lake Camp, Aug. 4-17, located in the<br />

Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Camp tuition is<br />

being provided at no-cost through a generous offer<br />

from the Island Lake Camp owners who wish to support<br />

military families by providing each of the services<br />

branches free spaces at the camp. Parents are<br />

responsible for transportation either to/from the camp<br />

or one of the bus pickup points - Queens, NY; Yonkers,<br />

NY; Paramus, NJ; Livingston, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; and<br />

the Newark, NJ Airport (for flying campers).<br />

Island Lake Camp offers youth a chance to participate<br />

and develop their interest in a variety of camp offerings,<br />

to include: mountain biking, circus techniques,<br />

skateboarding, dance, pioneering, gymnastics, science,<br />

theatre, horseback riding, technology, music, water<br />

– from enormous to miniature.<br />

Campers will create awe-inspiring art<br />

inspired by the world-touring Cool<br />

Globe Project, sculpting both gigantic<br />

and small sculptures using recycled<br />

products. They'll also make murals and<br />

geometric sculptures, play creativity<br />

games with music and much more!<br />

This camp is not a teeny, tiny bit shy<br />

about promising big, gigantic, huge,<br />

and rewarding FUN! Preschool Camp<br />

to get to go to Island Lake Camp this summer”. Youth<br />
