As hundreds of Greenies
filed into the gym, the sound of
cheers and the marching band
filled the room. Green could be
seen from every angle. Students
impatiently waited in anticipation
to see the classes of FMHS go head
to head, the cheerleaders’ new routines,
and Mr. Drew lay down some
of his famous improvised beats.
The rally started with an introduction
of our revered football
stars. After some classic Greenwave
cheers, and the unavoidable
Freshmen boos, it
was time to see which class
would come out on top in an
intense game of tug-o-war.
from these festivities benefit
the school. This year, Bennett’s
donuts, Love Boat Ice Cream,
Chick-Fil-A, Famous Dave’s
Bar-B-Que, Southern Sno
Balls, and many others provided
food. Various activities also
took place such as tug-of-war,
a dunk tank, a pull-up bar, face
painting, and water balloon
toss. Taste of the Greenies was
definitely a hit again this year!

The Freshmen stood no chance
against the Juniors, who couldn’t
help but celebrate. When it came
down to Sophomores and Seniors
it was a close game but Seniors
triumphed. The final showdown
between the Juniors and Seniors
brought the crowd to their feet. It
seemed to go on forever but the Seniors
walked away victorious. This
rivalry was soon followed
by everyone’s favorite in-
school rapper, Mr. Drew, who blew
up the gym with his clever rhymes
and words. Who wouldn’t cheer for
him?! This amazing pep rally was a
great way to kick off the school year
and set up for an epic win against
Lehigh. Way to get your green on!
