<strong>headphones</strong> offer a comb<strong>in</strong>ation of lifelike audio performance and comfortable fit<br />
not available from most conventional <strong>ear</strong>buds. Proprietary Bose technologies<br />
provide a level of listen<strong>in</strong>g pleasure with performance that's faithful and realistic.<br />
Three sizes of <strong>ear</strong> tips allow them to rest gently and softly <strong>in</strong> the outer bowl of the<br />
<strong>ear</strong> (not your <strong>ear</strong> canal).<br />

Importance of Proper Fit<br />
Unlike some products that need to be pushed <strong>in</strong>to the <strong>ear</strong> canal to perform as<br />
<strong>in</strong>tended, Bose <strong>in</strong>-<strong>ear</strong> <strong>headphones</strong> are designed to rest comfortably <strong>in</strong> the bowl<br />
of the <strong>ear</strong>. Because of this, they may feel different at first from what listeners are<br />
accustomed to. The soft silicone <strong>ear</strong> tip barely contacts the open<strong>in</strong>g to the <strong>ear</strong><br />
canal; it provides just enough contact to secure the <strong>headphones</strong> <strong>in</strong> place comfortably<br />
without form<strong>in</strong>g a tight, isolat<strong>in</strong>g seal.<br />
Us<strong>in</strong>g your <strong>headphones</strong><br />
Bose ® <strong>in</strong>-<strong>ear</strong> <strong>headphones</strong> are packaged with medium-sized<br />
silicone <strong>ear</strong> tips <strong>in</strong>stalled; small- and large-sized <strong>ear</strong> tips are<br />
also <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> the package. Locate the left (L) and right (R)<br />
mark<strong>in</strong>gs on the <strong>headphones</strong> and gently <strong>in</strong>sert the tips <strong>in</strong>to<br />
the bowl of your <strong>ear</strong>. Do not attempt to w<strong>ear</strong> the <strong>headphones</strong><br />
without the <strong>ear</strong> tips.<br />
The <strong>headphones</strong> should be pushed <strong>in</strong>to the <strong>ear</strong> far enough to<br />
establish a secure fit but not so far that they become uncomfortable.<br />
Some users may f<strong>in</strong>d that the small or large sizes Correct<br />
provide a more appropriate fit. It is also possible that some<br />
listeners may prefer different sizes of <strong>ear</strong> tips for each <strong>ear</strong>.<br />
Larger sizes may be preferable if users plan to use them<br />
dur<strong>in</strong>g certa<strong>in</strong> activities such as exercise. One size larger <strong>ear</strong><br />
tip may offer a little more contact with the <strong>ear</strong>, enhanc<strong>in</strong>g<br />
stability.<br />
We encourage each user to experiment with the different <strong>ear</strong>tip<br />
sizes until f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g the comb<strong>in</strong>ation that works best for<br />
