Regarding a Sound Off from someone who thinks our pets are
just animals, and has anyone seen a homeless person with a
pet? Was this person serious? A large amount of homeless
people have pets because their pets love them no matter who
they are or where they live. Not only that, this person must be
one of the lucky ones who has that someone special who
greets them at the door every time they come home with a big
hug and an “I love you.” Your special, because a lot of us just
have our pets to greet us with “unconditional love” at the
door. But they’re just pets, right?

The Sound off about certain physicians in the area who will
write a script to people for all kinds of narcotics struck a
nerve in me! I think it is disgusting! Wasn’t there an oath of
ethics taken to heal, not to destroy lives? These physicians
who practice handing out pills to anyone and everyone
someday will get a massive civil lawsuit slapped on them!

*It’s a shame that Pittsburg County does not have a Humane
Society. I would like to call attention to the 3 horses on South
7th in Hartshorne. One horse is out on a vacant lot with no
shelter at all and is wading in mud up to it’s ankles everyday,
this has been going on for several weeks. The other 2 horses
are a couple of blocks South. They are in separate pins about
20 feet across and have no shelter at all and are also wading in
mud and horse feces. This has been going on all winter! Does
the owner no know that this is animal cruelty? I would like
someone to drive by and take a look at this!

A young woman’s body is her responsibility. It is she that
needs to make sure that since she is the one that can
reproduce to have proper protection and fray from sleeping
with every guy she meets! I know of so many young women
today who have two or three children all by different
daddies. It is just not morally right! It’s also not right that we
the tax payer have to support these people! You pop them out,
you pay for them! I did.
