NEAL RAY and CHAMP DAVIS of Davis Cattle Co. in Wheeler,<br />

Texas have purchased several extra good ones over the years<br />

in the Cream of the Crop Sales. They produced the $28,000<br />

Escalade out of a COC purchase in 2008.<br />

JR STELZER’s decision to purchase the Phylli cow has been a great<br />

investment. She has produced many times over her original cost<br />

of $16,000. She is the dam of Yellow Jacket, Polar Ice and many<br />

other successful cattle.<br />

BRANDON BIRD has assembled the best females and bulls all<br />

over the country. Some of his top donors are from Cream of the<br />

Crop offerings. His purchase of Troubadour and Hagrid have<br />

been successful choices. Thanks Brandon for using Cream of the<br />

Crop genetics to build your program.<br />

BOBBY ROGERS purchased Lot 74, a $3000 daughter of 4114<br />

Made in 2009 that had a first calf sired by Tank selling for<br />

$13,000 as an open heifer in the 2010 spring Cream of the<br />

Crop sale. Bobby likes Herefords now!<br />

BRANDON HORN Ask Brandon if his Made Right semen was a<br />

good investment. This spring he sold a $25,000 son and he has<br />

several daughters that are not for sale. He purchased a $5200<br />

Charolais bred heifer in the 2010 sale, her fi rst calf sold for<br />

$7500. In 2009 Brandon bought a real nice bred cow for<br />

$4000, her calf sold for $19,000. Special Thanks for<br />

Brandon’s confi dence in our program.<br />

JOHN FILE, long time COC buyer, produced a<br />

bull in the 2010 bull sale for $13,500 to Bryan<br />

Kellogg. He was sired by a COC Picasso son and<br />

Lifeline daughter.<br />

DAN SULLIVAN has purchased some outstanding<br />

Cream of the Crop females over the years.<br />

Several are some of his best producing donors.<br />

He purchased a Hereford cow, 9644, that has<br />

been extra good to him. A daughter sold for<br />

$25,000 and four more offspring have sold<br />

for over $20,000. 9644 has proven a great<br />

investment. Hoo Doo Lizzy, another Sullivan<br />

purchase has paid for herself. A daughter<br />

generated $26,500 and she produced a herd<br />

bull DSUL McSteamy. Two of the top calves in the<br />

DSUL program this spring were Lizzy offspring. Lot<br />

396 sold for$4000 in the 2006 sale, she produced a<br />

$28,000 heifer that was Lot 1 in McKay’s sale.<br />

EXACTO - The top selling bull in the 2012 fall bull sale.<br />

Sold to Brandon Bird, a long time customer of the Cream of<br />

the Crop and one of the most successful club calf producing<br />

programs in the country.<br />

JOHN GRAVES purchased Lot 1, Hoo Doo bred heifer in the<br />

2008 sale, her first calf by Tank sold for $25,000 as a yearling<br />

bull in the 2009 Cream of the Crop Bull Sale. Named, “No<br />

Apologies,” he is now owned by Bradley Hale. Many top club<br />

calf breeders tried to own him. Watch for more progeny out of<br />

this great cow as well as No Apologies.<br />

KORKY WISE has assembled one of the premier cow herds in the<br />

country and many of them are Cream of the Crop females. They<br />

have produced Grand or Reserve Grand steers at nearly every<br />

major show in Texas. Korky’s most recent success with a COC<br />

female was the Reserve Grand Steer at Houston in 2011!<br />

JOHN BAUMAN purchased Yellow Jacket’s $21,000.00 full sister<br />

in 2007. Her fi rst calf was a 2009 Denver display bull named<br />

“Felony,” owned by Bauman and DeRouchey.<br />

ERNEST CLARK and WADE SHACKLEFORD’s purchase of a<br />

$3,500.00 Tiger daughter, produced as her fi rst calf, “Duck.”<br />

Duck was purchased back by Kris Black and has been a leading<br />

Hereford sire in this program. Since her fi rst calf, she has<br />

generated over $100,000 in progeny.<br />

GARY and DON OHLRICHS of Iowa are long time customers.<br />

They produced a $34,000 steer that was named Reserve<br />

Champion AOB in Houston from a COC daughter. Another<br />

Cream of the Crop female, owned with Wade Shackelford<br />

produced the Champion American at San Antonio in 2008. Lot<br />

148 Cream of the Crop cow was purchased for $7500. In return,<br />

four calves produced more than $100,000.00.<br />

YELLOW JACKET - 27 daughters of this great sire sell! Many<br />

cattle selling will be infl uenced by his great dam, “Hoo Doo Phylli.”
