RESIDENTIAL WATER HEATER MARKET STRUCTURE
Market structure, or value chain, connects the manufacturer of a water heater with the
ultimate end user. There are two main channels that bring the products from manufacturer
to the consumer, the retail channel and the wholesale channel. The wholesale channel,
plumbing contractors and builders, serves replacement as well as new construction demand.
