Battery Life Warning: Performance may deteriorate with battery usage. The typical period of continuous use that can be expected from the earplug battery is 300 hours. Battery life is estimated at 2-3 weeks for continuous operation. Each device uses one #312 zinc-air battery. It is not necessary to recycle this battery. Zinc-air batteries are not harmful to the environment and can be discarded in the trash. Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Recommendation: Carry spare batteries in case batteries reach end of life during use. Low Battery Warning LOBAT : A ticking sound becomes faster and louder, like the sound of a motorboat when the battery is about to die. After the warning sound first becomes audible, it may be a few hours before the battery dies. Performance and protection do not change while LOBAT is sounding. 8
Changing Filters Earplugs have special filters that enhance sound quality and prevent ear wax from entering the devices. A filter should be changed if the volume decreases or sound quality declines. ACCU•Filter Removal Note: Use the tool to remove the filter. ACCU•Filter 1. Remove eartip. 2. Insert tool into the filter. Replacement Note: Do not use the tool to replace the filter. 1. Insert a new filter. 2. Press gently against a hard surface to secure the filter in place. 9 3. Remove the filter. 3. Re-attach the eartip.
