The business scenario for an external warehouse (Incoming process managed by the supplier, outgoing process managed by the customer) When an external warehouse is used between the supplier and the customer there is a contract to guarantee - that the goods are delivered in time by the supplier to the warehouse based on the order or the delivery instructions, - once the goods are received, the warehouse informs the customer about the received goods, and waits for customer’s instructions for the delivery to the customer or the pickup by the customer, - that the goods are available for pick-up by a carrier as requested by the customer, or delivered by the warehouse to the customer. To achieve this scenario there is a need to have an information exchange between the parties involved. Supplier Ordering Warehouse 1.
