Adamello Brenta Nature Park – ITALY<br />
Some teachers during the excursions in the Brenta Dolomites in the framework<br />
of the training course “Adamello Brenta <strong>Geopark</strong> and the Dolomites WHS”<br />
guided by a geologist and an Alpine Guide.<br />
The Adamello Brenta Nature Park, consistently with its wider and more complex<br />
strategy of conservation of the natural, historical and cultural heritage, continues<br />
his work to improve the geological heritage conservation, geotouristic and<br />
popularization activities.<br />
Highlights of 2011 included:<br />
The Adamello Brenta <strong>Geopark</strong> carried out a training course for teachers at<br />
the beginning of the school year titled “Adamello Brenta <strong>Geopark</strong> and<br />
Dolomites World Heritage Unesco". In collaboration with the Science<br />
Museum of Trento and the Geological Service of the Autonomous Province, the<br />
Abg developed the hydrogeological aspects of the Brenta Dolomites and the<br />
geology of the Adamello Brenta <strong>Geopark</strong>, making teachers of the Park’s<br />
Institute more aware of the importance of it and letting them know the <strong>European</strong><br />
<strong>Geopark</strong>s <strong>Network</strong>. The training course was carried on both with lectures and<br />
with guided excursions and field experience.<br />
On the 11 th of November, in the beautiful Stenico castle, was organized the<br />
final forum of the participatory path for the revalidation of the <strong>European</strong><br />
Charter for Sustainable Tourism and the new Socio-economic Plan, with the<br />
