As the regional council of governments & metropolitan planning organization, the Council's activities are directed toward a series of important goals, including a growing economy, a clean and healthy environment, safe communities, efficient and balanced growth, and a well-functioning multi-modal transportation system. The Council works with local governments, citizens, and a host of other regional, state and federal agencies toward these outcomes.
