THE CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
P For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
C For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. I Corinthians 15:21-22
P In repentant faith, we come before our Lord to confess our sin. Almighty God,
C we confess to You that we are sinful by nature. We have lived out our sinful nature
by thinking selfish thoughts, saying hurtful words, and doing unloving actions. We
pray, bring us from the death of our sin back to life. Forgive us for the sake of our
Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
P The last enemy to be destroyed is death, and Jesus has won the victory over sin, death, and
the devil, and through Him, your sins are forgiven. As a called and ordained servant of the
Word, I forgive you all of your sins in the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the
Holy Spirit.
