THE CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS<br />
P For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.<br />
C For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. I Corinthians 15:21-22<br />
P In repentant faith, we come be<strong>for</strong>e our Lord to confess our sin. Almighty God,<br />
C we confess to You that we are sinful by nature. We have lived out our sinful nature<br />
by thinking selfish thoughts, saying hurtful words, and doing unloving actions. We<br />
pray, bring us from the death of our sin back to life. Forgive us <strong>for</strong> the sake of our<br />
Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.<br />
P The last enemy to be destroyed is death, and Jesus has won the victory over sin, death, and<br />
the devil, and through Him, your sins are <strong>for</strong>given. As a called and ordained servant of the<br />
Word, I <strong>for</strong>give you all of your sins in the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the<br />
Holy Spirit.<br />
