• An avatar is a small picture that you use to identify yourself
• Try to choose an image that will work across all of your online presences. So, for
example, it will work at 48x48 pixels for your Twitter account, and at larger sizes
for your Facebook page, and so on. In this way you create a coherent, consistent,
recognisable online brand.
• If you are a personal blogger, it’s common to show a photograph of yourself.
Some people like to stylise their photos by making them black and white, or only
showing part of their faces.
