b. Radiation Identification Detection Capability
Item provided to MTFs: ANIPDQ-l Multi-function Survey Meter (OA-9449IPDQ).
Multi-function instrument used to locate and measure low and high intensity radioactivity in the
form of gamma rays, or used with external probes to locate and measure beta and gamma
radiation. This meter is designed for both large area surveying, to find the extent and intensity of
radioactive contamination, as well as for area and personnel monitoring, to determine the
presence and intensity of residual radiation.
Item provided to MTFs: Exploranium GR-135HD (with software, serial cable, and
docking station). The GR-135 radioisotope identification device detects radioactive materials and
identifies the specific radioisotopes.
c. Chemical Detection Capability
Item provided to MTFs: Joint Chemical Agent Detector (JCAD). The JeAD is a handheld,
pocket-sized detector designed to detect, identify, quantify, and warn ofthe presence of
chemical agents (nerve, blister, blood agents), using both audible and visual alarms.
