bRENDA LYNN mARTIN
Brenda grew up in rural santa rosa california
with her mom and dad and two brothers. after
high school she was a home health nurse
for 22 years and dabbled in the real estate
market. in her spare time she would come
down to palm springs in a motor home where
she owned a lot in outdoor resorts. she
liked her visits so much and met many new
friends. she told them some day she would
live in palm springs full time. now she has
lived here for four years. Brenda decided on
a new vocation, which was not easy to do in a
new city.
“it’s been a long, hard journey and i feel for the first time i
can now step back and take a deep breath. My hard work
of giving numerous hours to charity work, rescuing dogs,
and helping friends before taking care of my needs has
made the difference. i believe it has helped to build my
reputation of loyalty and respect both in the community
and with friends and business associates”. Branda said.
“i have had many different jobs in the last four years to
pay expenses such as appearing in some tV and reality
shows such as ncis-La, Hollywood treasure, Bruce Lee
challenge, etc. prior to doing what i do now. i have worked
hard with local charites such as child Help, my personal
online dog rescue efforts and with pet rescuers Blutopia
rescue, save a pet charity, etc. i have written articles for
“LiVe Magazine (pet column) and the Desert star to help
educate the public on dog care, rescue and personal pet
safety and care.”
Working with these charities has led Brenda to her main
passion and source of income. she formed a business
named BBZ petcare. she dog sits/boards all breeds in a
cage free environment at her my home.

dog fashion line of collars, bowls, leashes etc can be
purchased at cosmopawlitan cafe on el paseo in palm
Desert.
Brenda works with LiVe Magazine as a photographer for
special events. she is also the publisist for cochella Valley
artist Lon Michels, and the Lon Michels Gallery run by his
partner todd olson (also an artist).
“Believe it or not at 54, i am still modeling, thanks to
nerium a new product with a business opportunity
(contact renae Madore at 760-799-8172) and organizing
groups of models for events. for example, Lon Michels
is showcasing his one of a kind gowns, wearable fine art,
like the one i’m wearing on this cover of LiVe Magazine.
also i model for odessa christiana Designs modeling
her hand painted silks. i want to thank my wonderful
photographer and friend, skip jensen for the great shots!
He is considered one of the best photographers in the
Desert.”
i am the event planner with David Gray for an event on
october 5th at copley’s benefiting the desert Bindness &
Handicapped Association, as well as events catered by
Booker t Hall. i am also working on the Grand opening
event of the Lon Michels Gallery on october 26th, 2013,
at 1610 n. palm canyon Drive in palm springs. the
public is welcome to come in and meet artists Lon and
todd who regularly work live at the gallery. please check
out their gallery and invest in the famous Lon Michels.
indterestingly, as “noted by Academia”, Lon is one of
few painting maestro’s in the valley.
family is very important to Brenda. Her brothers, Mike and
tony, and niece, erica, and nephew Max are her focus on
life.
“i am especially thankful to my parents, Michael and judy
Martin, for all the help and support they have provided
to make it easier to fulfill my dreams.” said Brenda. “one
more special person i would like to mention, is Mr.Gary
Valbuena. Without him i wouldnt be where i am at right
now. He is also a buyer of Lon Michels’ and todd olson’s
art, which has now tripled in value!”
