DESCRIPTION
250,000 net square feet of research laboratory
space for a new zero-energy zero-carbon
footprint campus with a research focus on
alternative energy sources, distribution and
technology. The project is based on a highly
flexible bench laboratory concept which will
maximize interaction and collaboration.
Specialized assigned support laboratories
include laser laboratories, an engine
performance laboratory, a gasifier laboratory,
and an environmental testing chamber
laboratory. Core laboratory facilities include a
comprehensive machine/wood shop, an
imaging suite, and a clean room. The
laboratories have been designed using the
highest level of sustainability addressing issues
such as material sourcing and transport,
localized process exhaust systems, and
optimization of airflow system operations.
