We will be 100-years old in 2014, and a list of ideas and
suggestions were discussed for celebrating.
Members went over their yearly/monthly donation list with
a few changes.
Our bike giveaway will take place July 13, 2013 during
the Antique and Tractor Expo held at the Price County Fair
Grounds.
Election of officers for the ensuing year took place and
present officers will retain their positions.
Members set up their 2013 meeting schedule.
Kewaunee No. 365, Kewaunee, WI

Members met on December 11 at the Water Front for lunch
before our meeting.
Our Christmas party was December 8 at Moxies in Casco.
Gifts were exchanged and we all donated to the Kewaunee
Food Pantry. Six poinsettias were given as prizes. A brisk
game of bingo was also played.

didn’t care for Dear Santa. We
had a good turnout.
A moment of silence for
75-year member, Ruth Schmitt, was held.
We received a thank-you note for the memorial from Ruth’s
family and from Lorraine Cotter for her 75-year pin.
David and Donna Opicka decorated a tree for Holy Trinity
School Walk of Lights. They also did gift wrapping at Bay
Park Square in Green Bay.

We had 27 members and 18 guests attend our Christmas
gathering. There was a great selection of food, and everyone
enjoyed the food and dessert. We called the meeting to order
and talked about the events for the New Year.
After the meeting was closed, Santa came for the children
and brought all a goody bag. They really enjoyed Santa.
Winners of our prizes were Lorie and Jack.
Donations of food and cash went to the Neillsville’s food
pantry.
We played bingo to end the day.

Edward G. Kasl
Lodge No. 74, Dorchester, NE
Brother Edward Kasl was born October 20, 1919 near
Dorchester to George Sr. and Emma (Rezabek) Kasl and died
September 21, 2012. Funeral services were held September
25, with interment at Wilber Czech Cemetery.
Edward married Rosella May 22, 1946. He was a 50-year
member.
Survivors include son, Ed (Jody) Kasl of Omaha; daughter,
Linda (Hugh) Clark of Lincoln; sister, Gladys Burda of
Wilber; brothers, Bob (Marva) Kasl, George Jr. (Shirley) Kasl,
and Richard (Shirley) Kasl all of Dorchester; 3 grandchildren
and 6 great-grandchildren.

We had a good turnout at our Halloween party on October
27, which was held in conjunction with Kewaunee No. 365, at
the Montpelier Community Center. Two bicycles were given
away. Bingo was played, and snacks and candy were given
out at the end of the party.

Sister Vlasta Miller was born April
27, 1923 in Tyndall, SD to Alois and
Alice (Hladky) Ruman Sr and died
December 8, 2012 in Tyndall. Funeral

December 1945 and later married Gerald “Jerry” Miller
in August 1960. She was a 50-year member. She served as
secretary for 39 years.
Survivors include husband, Jerry Miller; son, Roger (Marci)
Henderson of Bloomington, MN; brothers, Lumir (Marcy)
Ruman of Tyndall and Alois Ruman, Jr of Tabor; and 2
grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
