Correcting Errors in Official Documents
61.29(e) An incorrect entry in a logbook may be altered only
by putting a line through the entry and by adding the correct
information either beside the entry or on a new line.
Rule 61.29(e) provides for the correction
of a logbook entry. Correcting fluid (e.g.
twink), stickers or labels do not meet
this rule requirement.
This is the official rule set by CAA, if you
make a mistake in any official document like
your logbook and the aircrafts Technical Log
you need to rule a straight line through it, the
mistake still needs to be readable.

There has been much talk over a number of
years that there needs to greater access for
pilots to the club aircraft and one of these
ways is to have a better more modern
approach to the booking system. We are
going to trial Google Calendar to see if it will
be suitable for our needs.
We are hoping that every member that will be
using the booking system will use their own
login, which is a gmail account, if you have
an android smartphone you will already have
one.
The Aero Club calendar will be shared with
your gmail account and then when you make
a booking it will be possible to see who
makes, modifies or moves a booking.
The example of the diary below is an example
of last weeks diary and how it looks when the
date has past.
To make this work every flight will have to be
in the diary. After talking to other clubs that
use google calendar that’s the one thing that
they found as the biggest issue. For example
someone is at home and they check the diary
and find, the plane they want is available and
book it, drive to the club to use and find that
someone has already taken the plane and not
booked it.
This is a very exciting advancement in the
club and we need everyone to support it, if
you have any suggestions to make it work
better we’d love to hear them.
So all you need to do is get a gmail account
and inform us.
