1. Definition<br />

1.1. The assessment system is for judging individual horses only.<br />

1.2. The assessment system is made up of:<br />

• Breeding goals in Icelandic horse breeding: <strong>FIZO</strong>, section II<br />

• Icelandic core rules for breeding shows: <strong>FIZO</strong>, section III<br />

• Additional rules for international breeding shows: <strong>FIZO</strong>, section III<br />

• Additional rules for breeding shows during World Championships: <strong>FIZO</strong>,<br />

section III<br />

• Measuring the horse (<strong>FIZO</strong>, section II)<br />

• Judging scale for individual breeding judgements (<strong>FIZO</strong>, section II)<br />

• Method for calculation of scores for each single trait and for the total scores<br />

(<strong>FIZO</strong>, section II)<br />

1.3. A breeding show organised in accordance with the <strong>FIZO</strong>” means a breeding<br />

show using the FEIF / Icelandic breeding horse assessment system and applies<br />

to shows in Iceland, and international breeding shows or breeding shows during<br />

a World Championship.<br />

1.4. The FEIF Delegates Assembly must approve any changes made to this<br />

assessment system before they are accepted into the <strong>FIZO</strong>. The final<br />

acceptance is made by the advisory committee which is based on Icelandic<br />

regulation 948/2002 about the country of origin of the Icelandic horse.
