Brittani Alexandra Green of the Chino<br />
<strong>FFA</strong> Chapter works at horse barns for<br />
her SAE. She began by exercising horses<br />
and her duties grew to include training,<br />
riding, showing, clipping, body shaping<br />
and other requests made by trainers.<br />
Brittani looks forward to more opportunities<br />
in the equine industry. Brittani’s <strong>FFA</strong><br />

Taylor Sheldon Osterberg grew up on<br />
a thousand acre farm of corn and soybeans.<br />
He rents 38 acres for soybeans<br />
each year. Taylor learned how to haul<br />
grain, apply fertilizer, prepare and maintain<br />
the fields and harvest. He hopes to<br />
take over the operation when his father<br />
retires. Taylor is a member of the McCook<br />
Central <strong>FFA</strong> Chapter, and his advisor is<br />
Terry Rieckman. This award is sponsored<br />

construction. Kaitlyn also takes customer<br />
orders, keeps records for the business<br />
and plans events. She is a member of the<br />
Franklin County <strong>FFA</strong> Chapter. Her <strong>FFA</strong><br />

an interest in nutrition labeling and food<br />
techniques. Alexis was motivated to<br />
explore soy and its benefits on a diabetic<br />
diet. She also looked for new ways to<br />
encapsulate flavor. Alexis’s <strong>FFA</strong> advisor<br />

Alyssa Carlyle Fee of the Liberty <strong>FFA</strong><br />
Chapter produces hybrid Bermuda hay<br />
for her SAE. She set out to learn which<br />
varieties are available and what proper<br />
fertilization methods she should use.<br />
Alyssa learned which hay fields and pastures<br />
should be irrigated and how much<br />
irrigation was needed. Her <strong>FFA</strong> advisors<br />
are Chuck Flowers and Teresa Crouse.<br />

Tyler Matthew Meister is the fourth generation<br />
to work in the family’s sawmills.<br />
He has done every job possible, from<br />
stacking lumber and running the saws<br />
to operating wheel loaders and calculating<br />
output. Tyler hopes to become a<br />
commercial driver so he can drive the<br />
operation’s log trucks and semis. He is a<br />
member of the Reedsburg <strong>FFA</strong> Chapter,<br />
and his <strong>FFA</strong> advisors are Nick Casey and<br />
Todd Cherney. This award is sponsored<br />
