I, Paul Forward, Chief Executive of the Roads and Traffic Authority, in pursuance to the Road Transport (Mass, Loading and Access) Regulation 1996, make the Notice set forth hereunder. The General Overdimension Notice 1997 published in Government Gazette No. 117 of 31 October 1997 at pages 8875 to 8921 and amended in Government Gazette No.37 of 26 March 1999 at pages 2542 to 2543, Government Gazette No. 73 of 23 June 2000 at pages 5210 to 5222 and Government Gazette No. 112 of 1 September 2000 at page 9776 is further amended: (a) by inserting the following entries in clause 4.1.8 Federal Highway between the Hume Highway and the border with the Australian Capital Territory. Pacific Highway from the Hexham Bridge to the Twelve Mile Creek rest area north of Raymond Terrace. Weakleys Drive at Thornton. (b) by omitting the following entry from clause 4.1.8 John Renshaw Drive (MR588) between Beresfield and Stanford Merthyr. (c) by inserting the following entry in clause 4.1.8: John Renshaw Drive (MR588) between the Sydney to Newcastle Freeway (F3) and the New England Highway at Beresfield. (d) By omitting clause 7.2. By inserting the following clause instead: 7.2 Critical locations and contacts Operators of certain overdimension vehicles and loads travelling under this general Notice must contact Police to find out whether they can travel, or need Police escorts, on the roads listed below. Note: Critical location entries list restrictions or prohibitions that apply to travel. Police must be contacted prior to travel through a critical location, other than when an oversize vehicle does not exceed the dimension limits shown for the particular location. Police can require up to seven days prior notice of travel if Police escorts are required. North Roads and Traffic Authority Gosford 1.
