Work Management The Work Management team consists of individuals who are dedicated to the support of the University and its success behind the scenes and on the front lines. This group provides a variety of departmental funcons including customer relaons, fleet management, materials receiving and courier services. One major funcon of Work Management is the Deferred Maintenance program. It is the responsibility of the division to advance toward the University’s goal of reducing the facility con‐ dion index to 5% by 2015. To further the department’s goal of meeng customer needs, is implemenng a new computerized maintenance soware sys‐ tem, AiM, to more efficiently process work requests, improve ac‐ countability, and extend the useful life of assets. The success of this implementaon project required a close working relaon‐ ship with the IT department in the selecon, procurement and analysis of the product. Each day these employees facilitate work re‐ quests while nurturing inter‐ nal and external customer relationships. Being able to interact with students, facul‐ ty and staff are all in a days work.
2010‐2011 O&M Accomplishments ‐ Successful consolidaon with Housing Division’s maintenance workforce ‐ 108 Housing Division employees transferred to FM on January 3, 2011 ‐ First six months show equal or improved service performance, employee retenon and advancement, and budget performance. ‐ Completed $24million in construcon projects across Grounds/HSPP ‐ Successful start with a new Central Grounds Zone ‐ 16 maintenance workers, 3 supervisors, and a manager ‐ Improved customer response and follow‐through ‐ Iniated operaons in the new South Lawn facility ‐ Inauguraon and graduaon set‐up (increased seeding schedule as a result) ‐ Tree replacement project: Cabell Dr., Art Museum, ~200 trees across Grounds ‐ P&T contract renewal to clean University garages. ‐ Planned and executed work at Camp Holiday Trails and at a local house as part of the Universi‐ ty’s parcipaon in “Day of Caring” and “Building Goodness in April.” ‐ Major projects: Jag School lodging, Pavilion IX, West Range Student Room, West Lawn Men’s Restroom, Gamma Knife ‐ FM accidents decreased and medical costs decreased by 35% from last fiscal year. ‐ Deferred maintenance program advances toward goal to reduce facility condion index to 5%. ‐ Began operaon and maintenance of new facilies‐ South Lawn, Bavaro ‐ Addressing FM space needs through SEAS/FM shop building
