1965 No significant changes were evident on the West Side Parking Lot. The Site is still depicted as<br />

vacant or agricultural l<strong>and</strong>. Continued development of l<strong>and</strong>s south <strong>and</strong> southwest of the Site as<br />

commercial or industrial uses is depicted in the photo. Martin Avenue has still not been<br />

constructed. Hangars <strong>and</strong> the SJSU Aviation facility are shown at 1120 <strong>and</strong> 1128 Coleman<br />

Avenue. Scale: 1” = 333’<br />

1975 Some significant changes were evident on the surrounding area. The airport is depicted with<br />

more runways <strong>and</strong> l<strong>and</strong> uses south <strong>and</strong> west of the subject properties have been developed for<br />

commercial <strong>and</strong> industrial uses. The West Side Parking Lot is still depicted as open space or<br />

agricultural l<strong>and</strong>. Martin Avenue is now apparent as it separates the developed l<strong>and</strong> use from the<br />

subject property <strong>and</strong> the airport runways beyond. No significant changes were observed at 1120<br />

<strong>and</strong> 1128 Coleman Avenue. Scale: 1” = 550’<br />

1982 No significant changes were evident on the subject properties. Further development west <strong>and</strong><br />

south of the subject properties continues as does the expansion of the airport facilities. No other<br />

significant changes were evident on the surrounding properties. Scale: 1” = 690’<br />

1999 The West Side Parking Lot area is now depicted as a paved parking facility for the airport. The<br />

former agricultural structure is no longer present. The current aviation tower located directly<br />

southeast of the Site is depicted. No other significant changes were evident on the subject<br />

properties <strong>and</strong> surrounding area. Scale: 1” = 666’<br />

2005 No significant changes were evident on the subject property <strong>and</strong> surrounding area.<br />

4.4.2 Fire Insurance Maps<br />

URS contacted EDR for information regarding Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps for the subject property.<br />

Sanborn Maps are published detailed city maps, which were originally designed to meet the<br />

requirements of the fire insurance industry. Fire insurance maps provide detailed property information by<br />

outlining all buildings in applicable areas, showing construction types, building heights, building<br />

numbers, use by occupancy, as well as, the location <strong>and</strong> content of underground storage tanks<br />

(USTs)/aboveground storage tanks (ASTs).<br />
