No historical or current businesses with the <strong>site</strong> address for the West Side Parking Lot (325 Martin<br />

Avenue) are listed in the City Directories. The city directories had historical businesses for 300, 336,<br />

340, 370, <strong>and</strong> 380 Martin Avenue. These businesses include a mix of construction-, auto service- <strong>and</strong><br />

electronic-related businesses within the vicinity of the West Side Parking Lot property. See Section 4.1<br />

for more detail of current businesses that are also found in the EDR database search report.<br />

Historical businesses with the <strong>site</strong> address of 1120 Coleman Avenue were reported at San Jose State<br />

College Aeronautic Building for the years 1966 <strong>and</strong> 1970. No Businesses were listed for 1128 Coleman<br />

Avenue. The city directories had historical businesses for 1138, 1115, 1125, 1098, 1099, 1100, 1105,<br />

1108, 1111, 1130, 1135, 1138, 1142, <strong>and</strong> 1144 Coleman Avenue. These businesses include a mix of<br />

commercial-, construction-, auto service- <strong>and</strong> electronic-related businesses within the vicinity of 1120 <strong>and</strong><br />

1128 Coleman Avenue. The former FMC <strong>site</strong> is listed for the addresses 1105, 1115, <strong>and</strong> 1125Coleman<br />

Avenue for the years 1970, 1975, 1980, <strong>and</strong> 1986 – 1996.<br />

4.4.5 Previous Investigations<br />

According to Mr. Carey Greene, he is aware of previous subsurface investigation/remediation that may<br />

have been conducted at the West Side Parking Lot related to a former UST located at the property prior to<br />

its conversion as a parking lot. Mr. David Maas provided a figure identifying the location of historical<br />

farming activities <strong>and</strong> a waste oil tank which are suspected as being the subject of the investigation <strong>and</strong><br />

remediation. However, records of the investigation/remediation were not readily available for review by<br />

URS.<br />

In addition, a Phase I ESA was conducted at 1120 Coleman Avenue in March 2010 <strong>and</strong> soil sampling<br />

related to the pre-demolition of the SJSU Aviation facility in October 2010. Mr. David Mass provided<br />

the Phase I ESA report <strong>and</strong> analytical results of the soil sampling event to URS for review <strong>and</strong> reference<br />

for this Phase I ESA.<br />
