Large Company Business Health Award for 2011 (501 + employees)<br />

The winner in the Large Company category did a stellar job of meeting and exceeding the requirements set in<br />

the application. Here are a few examples that made this company stand out from the crowd. This <strong>Frederick</strong><br />

County winner has been recognized for their wellness initiatives by the American Heart Association winning the<br />

Start! Fit‐Friendly Gold Award, and the 2010 Apex award for innovative employee wellness programs. A key to<br />

their success was recruiting Wellness Champions at every worksite. They are responsible for promoting wellness<br />

programs along with educating and motivating staff through internal wellness competitions at their numerous<br />

<strong>Frederick</strong> County locations. This company provides employees with access to a Nurseline, a Healthy Pregnancy<br />

Program, and online health coaching. The company also offers employees work life services such as financial,<br />

legal, childcare support, and eldercare support.<br />

reduce healthcare costs.<br />
