• Rebecca Leinen, <strong>HR</strong>&T Director, has been an active participant on a<br />

Restructuring policy committee and the University Human Resources<br />

Exchange Group, which is comprised of field <strong>HR</strong> managers and University <strong>HR</strong><br />

leadership, to improve communication and information flow on critical issues<br />

to the departments. Additionally, she has provided advisory representation to<br />

<strong>Facilities</strong> <strong>Management</strong> Employee Council meetings offering additional<br />

information/interpretation on UVA policy, plan changes, etc., to assist Council<br />

members in accurate communications with our workforce.<br />

• Betty Wooding, Information Officer, continues to keep employees informed<br />

having completed FM’s annual report and provided primary writing,<br />

photography, and editing for the quarterly newsletter Perspective. Betty<br />

remains heavily involved in the organization and planning of the annual<br />

Apprentice Reunion and Recruitment Luncheon, the annual Apprentice<br />

Graduation/Induction and Training Recognition Ceremony, and provides<br />

photographs and text for various news releases around grounds.<br />

• Sarah McComb, Training Coordinator & <strong>HR</strong> Assistant, joined the <strong>HR</strong>&T<br />

Office in June. She is the first point of contact for employee customer service,<br />

general questions, and human resources assistance. In addition to coordinating<br />

training and assisting employees with educational benefits, Sarah is learning a<br />

variety of FM-<strong>HR</strong>&T processes to be able to serve FM staff in many human<br />

resources areas.<br />

• Stephanie Burnette, <strong>HR</strong> Office Assistant, is responsible for maintaining<br />

personnel files and the department’s confidential records. As new security<br />

policies take effect, Stephanie is creating ways to adapt our processes making<br />
