normally not granted in the residence halls.<br />

STUDY ABROAD/EXCHANGE/INTERNSHIPS<br />

Students enrolled in <strong>Framingham</strong> <strong>State</strong> coursework or for-credit internships<br />

away from campus for the spring 2011 semester, and who want fall 2011<br />

housing, should, by March 11, 2011:<br />

submit their housing reservation deposits <strong>to</strong> the Office of Student<br />

Accounts<br />

submit a letter <strong>to</strong> the associate dean of students/direc<strong>to</strong>r of residence life<br />

and judicial affairs requesting fall 2011 housing and outlining hall<br />

preferences.<br />

Spring 2011 residents enrolled in <strong>Framingham</strong> <strong>State</strong> coursework or for-credit<br />

internships away from campus for the fall 2011 semester, and who want spring<br />

2012 housing, should, by March 11, 2011:<br />

SUMMER HOUSING<br />

Housing may be available <strong>to</strong> <strong>Framingham</strong> <strong>State</strong> students enrolled in “Summer<br />

Session A” courses who are in need of accommodations. Housing is on a space<br />

available basis. Summer residents typically share multiple occupancy rooms. If<br />

available, applications can be obtained through my<strong>Framingham</strong> beginning April<br />

19, 2011.<br />

SUSTAINABLE LIVING TIPS<br />

<strong>Framingham</strong> <strong>State</strong>‟s “Climate Action Plan” outlines actions which will work<br />

<strong>to</strong>ward <strong>Framingham</strong> <strong>State</strong>‟s goals <strong>to</strong> reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions<br />

and cut energy use, as outlined by the Governor‟s Executive Order 484. The<br />

following initiatives are recommended and may help reduce campus electricity<br />

use and conserve energy while reinforcing good personal habits.<br />

Use compact fluorescent (CFLs) or LED light bulbs in lamps<br />

Turn off lights at night/when leaving room<br />

Program your computer <strong>to</strong> go in<strong>to</strong> stand-by/hibernate mode (lowpower)<br />

after a relatively short period of non-use<br />
