5. Offer 2 appointment times (or invite her to an Opportunity Hour)
Appointment Example: “Would this afternoon around 2:00 PM work for you, or would this
evening at around 7:00 PM be better?”
Opportunity Hour Example: Inform her of the date, time, and location of the Opportunity Hour
– and offer to pick her up.
Appointment Example: Now pause and see what her answer is to the 2 times you offered. She
might pick one of those times, or she might have another time that works better for her. Or
she may have an objection (see below).
Gently overcome objections, and offer 2 appointment times again
If she starts asking a lot of questions:
“I knew you would have lots of questions. That’s why you and I should meet. I’ll be sure to answer
all your questions then.” Then offer the 2 appointment times again.
If she says she’s a very busy person:
“That’s one of the reasons I thought of you. The Epicure opportunity is perfect for busy people.
Let’s get together for just 20 minutes, and I’ll show you how Epicure could fit around your busy
schedule.” Then, offer 2 appointment times again.
If she says she doesn’t think she’s going to join Epicure:
“That’s okay. I know there’s a chance you’ll say no to what I’m going to share with you, and that
will be okay with me. There’s no obligation. I’m willing to take the time to meet with you, even
though I know there’s a chance you’ll say no. I feel I owe it to you to share this with you so that
you can make an educated decision.” Then, offer 2 appointment times again.
You can offer a gift at this point to make sure you get the appointment set. Don’t start out by
offering the gift for meeting with you, save that in your back pocket in case you need it to secure
an appointment. It’s always best to go into the appointment knowing she’s meeting with you
because she wants to hear about being on your Team, not just because she wants the gift. The
best gift you can give her is the gift of the opportunity.
