teristically narrow radiator grille makes it possible to<br />

identify LaSalle from a great distance. The curved die<br />

cast grille bars are horizontal and artistically proportioned.<br />

Across the front is the LaSalle name in white and<br />

gold script. The coat of arms appears at the top. On<br />

both sides of the grille long, streamlined headlamps<br />

flow into the hood side panels.<br />

Additional radiator cooling grilles are provided in<br />

the fronts of the fender catwalks. These are also die<br />

cast. Bars are wide and vertically placed. Fenders are<br />

of typically massive LaSalle design with windsplits<br />

along their centerlines. The new front bumper has ends<br />

shaped to blend into the fender contour and carries<br />

smoothly curved guards.<br />

Harmonious lines and balanced proportions are the reasons for<br />

LaSalfe's new beauty.<br />

Side View: Much lower overall lines give the new<br />

LaSalle a fleet, graceful appearance. The lower top.<br />

streamlined hood, forwardly inclined rear quarter pillar<br />

and the new trunk in which the body lines flow, all<br />

contribute to the new speed motif.<br />

The new front opening hood curves downward to the<br />

radiator grille. All broken hood lines have now entirely<br />

disappeared. The hood is windsplit to match the fender<br />

windsplits and carries a new all chrome ornament of<br />

characteristic LaSalle design.<br />

A new combination latch and safety catch permits<br />

the hood to be raised in one easy upward motion. The<br />
