<strong>to</strong> travel throughout <strong>the</strong> Sierra Nevada Mountains and<br />
beyond. <strong>Girl</strong>s participating in <strong>Camp</strong> Menzies travel sessions<br />
will start and end <strong>the</strong>ir adventure at camp<br />
Sessions<br />
but will spend 3 <strong>to</strong> 6 nights out of camp during<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir session.<br />
<strong>Camp</strong> ‘n’ Canoe<br />
Entering Grades: 6th-8th<br />
Session: 9 (6 days) | $385<br />
Practice canoe swamping, self-rescue, paddling<br />
techniques and more. Work on your canoe<br />
skills in camp before heading out for 3 days<br />
of camping on <strong>the</strong> beautiful Union & Utica<br />
Reservoirs. Sleep under <strong>the</strong> stars or bring your<br />
own tent.<br />
Mountains <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Sea<br />
Entering Grades: 6th-8th<br />
Session: 10 (10 days) | $615<br />
Travel from <strong>the</strong> Sierra Nevada Mountains <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Monterey Bay Peninsula. <strong>Camp</strong> near <strong>the</strong> coast and<br />
spend time exploring <strong>the</strong> Monterey Bay Aquarium<br />
and <strong>the</strong> wonders of Big Sur. Take a whale watching<br />
<strong>to</strong>ur and hike along <strong>the</strong> Monterey Peninsula<br />
Recreational Trail while working on <strong>the</strong> Makin’<br />
Waves focus book. Sleep under <strong>the</strong> stars or bring<br />
your own tent.<br />
Yosemite Institute<br />

Entering Grades: 6th-8th<br />
Session: 13 (8 days) | $415<br />
Spend a week in <strong>the</strong> beautiful backyard<br />
of Yosemite National Park while learning<br />
more about <strong>the</strong> park environment! Join<br />
o<strong>the</strong>r students at <strong>the</strong> renowned Yosemite<br />
Institute as highly qualified professionals<br />
in <strong>the</strong> fields of natural his<strong>to</strong>ry and<br />
environmental interpretation lead you on<br />
hikes and o<strong>the</strong>r outings throughout <strong>the</strong><br />
park. In camp, sleep under <strong>the</strong> stars or<br />
bring your own tent; while at Yosemite<br />
Institute you will be staying in cabins.<br />
Survivor<br />
Entering Grades: 7th-9th<br />
Session: 5 (8 days) | $495<br />
Do you have <strong>the</strong> skills needed <strong>to</strong> survive in <strong>the</strong> wilderness? This<br />
jam packed session will help you <strong>to</strong> develop <strong>the</strong> confidence<br />
needed <strong>to</strong> meet <strong>the</strong> challenges of outdoor survival. Participate<br />
in daily role plays and challenges and receive first aid and CPR<br />
training. Practice your skills during a solo sleep and an extended<br />
overnight experience out of camp. Sleep under <strong>the</strong> starts or bring<br />
your own tent.
