COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (C.I.T.) or
WRANGLER-IN-TRAINING (W.I.T.)
*Prerequisite: At least 15 years old or entering 10th grade
Improve your leadership skills and learn about the needs
of children in the camp setting. Explore the basics of
developing and delivering camp program and camp
operations. W.I.T.’s will shadow riding staff at the horse
corral and must have horseback riding experience.
ADVANCED C.I.T.
*Prerequisite: At least 16 years old or
entering 11th grade and completion of
the C.I.T. program or its equivalent
Focus on camp management and gain
practical experience in various areas
of the camp operation. Practice your
leadership and program skills while
working with younger campers. Sleep
APPRENTICE C.I.T.
*Prerequisite: At least 17 years old or entering 12th grade and
completion of the C.I.T. program or it’s equivalent. Fee: $350
Use your leadership and program skills as you work under the supervision of camp staff, in units,
or at your favorite specialty area. Carry out an individual project and learn more about camp
management. In an effort to provide more flexibility for girls participating in the Apprentice CIT
program this summer, each girl will create an individualized schedule with the camp director
prior to the start of the summer season. This will include attending one of three
orientation weekends and three to six of our camp sessions or weekend programs.
