Rita Ricotta is as alone as a stray<br />
dog, always without company,<br />
always lost in the rain.<br />
But if there is anything she loves, it’s the<br />
ocean.<br />
On weekends she often goes to the ocean<br />
and watches the spray of the waves.<br />
Loulou tells her about the South, about<br />
blooming mimosa flowers and juicy figs.<br />
Loulou says that to live there would be the<br />
greatest happiness.<br />
Things don’t look good for Rita<br />
Ricotta, until good fortune decides<br />
to look for her…<br />

Isabel Pin, born in Versailles in 1975,<br />
studied illustration in Strasbourg in<br />
Hamburg.<br />
Her illustrations have been exhibited at<br />
the Bologna Children’s <strong>Book</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> and at<br />
the Salon du Livre de Jeunesse in Paris,<br />
among other places.<br />
Isabel Pin writes and illustrates picture<br />
books for German and French publishers.<br />
She is the recipient of numerous awards,<br />
for example the Austrian children’s book<br />
award 2008.
