6. Relation between the student and the public<br />

The student is capable to see connections between his/her own work<br />

and that of others and between his/her own work and the public.<br />

- the student:<br />

- relates his/her own work to that of other artists (from the<br />

past and present)<br />

- compares his/her intentions with the perception of the public<br />

- finds connections between visual arts and other art disciplines<br />

- makes use of many different cultural and social sources for<br />

inspiration and can point them out in his/her own work and name<br />

them<br />

- proves to have an overview of the market and the publicity<br />

media<br />

- has views on the function and place of the visual arts in<br />

society<br />

- gives constructive critical comments<br />

7. The ability to cooperate<br />

The student is able, if required, to give an independent artistic<br />

contribution when working on a collective product or process<br />

- the student:<br />

- shows that he or she is capable to reach his/her own artistic<br />

goals in tune with other people<br />

- he or she is capable to use his/her own skills in a cooperation,<br />

when the chosen professional position requires this<br />

- shows that he or she is capable to show understanding, respect<br />

and appreciation for the different responsibilities and<br />

interests of the others when working in a group with which<br />

he/she has to cooperate<br />
