Ducks Unlimited Celebrates 75th Anniversary!
It's Ducks Unlimited's 75th Anniversary and the
Missouri/Milk River chapter of Ducks Unlimited will be
hosting its 26th Banquet on Saturday, March 10th at the
Cottonwood Inn here in Glasgow.
Early Bird tickets are available until Saturday,
March 3rd at D&G Sports and Western and Friday at Valley
Bank. The ticket will get you in the door at the Banquet for
a Prime Rib dinner but it also includes a 1 year membership
to Ducks Unlimited.
Early Bird ticket prices are $35 single, $60 couple,
$25 Green wing, $275 sponsor and $380 sponsor couple.

guys, who knows maybe you could come on down to
the GEG and help us out with OUR spelling! We all
know it could use some work!
Rice Stuffed chicken
Breasts
Serves 4
4 boneless chicken
breasts
% teaspoon pepper
salt to taste
1 cup cooked white rice
!4 CUP diced tomato
!4 CUP grated Mozzarella cheese
1 Tablespoon basil
cooking oil
Directions:
Cut the chicken breasts in half. Pound each one
with a mallet until $4 inch thick. Season the chicken
with the pepper and salt.
In a mixing bowl, combine the white rice,
tomatoes, Mozzarella cheese, and basil. Toss all of the
ingredients until well blended. Spoon an even amount
of the rice mixture on top of each chicken breast. Fold
and secure with string and toothpicks. In a skillet heat
enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan. Brown the
chicken on both sides for 1 minute or until golden.
Remove from the skillet and place in the
bottom of a baking dish. Bake at 350' F for 10-15
minutes.

Benefit On March 3rd

To help Betty Flom Voeller with medical
expenses as she fights cancer, there will be a Benefit
at the Glasgow Civic Center on Saturday March
3rd at 4 p.m. Dudley & The Deadbeats will perform
throughout the benefit where Super Nachos will
be served and a free will offering will be accepted.
There will also be a baked goods auction featuring
delicious desserts that are all homeade and all the
proceeds will go toward helping Betty. Supplemental
funds will be given by the Valley Chapter #31373 of
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

some lucky banquet attendee.
Waterfowl hunting opportunities are abundant
here in NE Montana and Duck Unlimited has played a
huge role in helping create the habitat, and waterfowl
numbers.
Ducks Unlimited's #1 conservation focus areathe
Prairie Pothole Region- provides North America
with more than 75% of our waterfowl population and
most of Northern Montana is in this Region.
While DU 7 s priority is waterfowl, more than
900 wildlife species benefit from Du 7 s conservation
work in fact more than 12 million acres of waterfowl
habitat in North America, which is more than any other
conservation organization in existence.
There's no denying that Ducks Unlimited cares
for wildlife, waterfowl hunters and their heritage. DU's
vital habitat work has a positive impact on waterfowl
populations and helps guarantee the resource for future
generations. Last year alone DU 7 s grassroots dollars
raised over $494,000 dollars with over 86% of those
dollars raised by DU was dedicated towards conservation
efforts. Yes those are National numbers but for every
$1 that the Montana Ducks Unlimited chapters sends
to the National DU we receive $3 in return to be spent
on Montana wetland conservation! I would say that's
money well spent.
Duck Unlimited is the world's largest
nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving North
America's continually disappearing waterfowl habitats.
Established in 1937, DU has conserved more than 12
million acres thanks to contributions from more than
a million supporters across the continent. Guided by
science and dedicated to program efficiency, DU works
toward the vision of wetlands sufficient to fill the skies
with waterfowl today, tomorrow and forever.
