Spatial distribution of play spaces
Allanvale Preschool (x2), Leopold Kindergarten
Currently 16 play spaces. Spatial coverage is generally very good but with apparent
gaps in the north-east and south-west. The block to the north-east is bounded by
Geelong – Portarlington Rd and Christies Rd. A new playground (Kensington Estate)
has been established in the park at Hoddle Drive in neighbouring Other Urban –
Bellarine – South Barwon which will help to service this gap.
A large area of vacant land adjacent to Ferguson Rd in the south-west appears to be
undergoing residential development at present and council should ensure that an
appropriate play space is established here (developer responsibility).
